| **Plastic Waste Management Rules (EPR) with recycled content targets for PET** | Recycled PET mandates from 2025-26 reduce virgin MEG demand at the margin (indicative). |

#### Trade measures

- No current Indian anti-dumping duty on MEG confirmed in sources reviewed
- 2026 Hormuz disruption to Gulf exports

#### Supply risk

Concentrated in China (about 50% of capacity) and Gulf exporters; India's import supply depends on Hormuz. Not on critical lists.
