# Antimony: Production

Who mines it, and why the market is only moderately concentrated

Source page: https://www.materialinsights.org/commodities/antimony/production/

What this tab covers Who produces it and how much: world output over recent years, the top producing countries with their shares, USGS world figures for 2024 and 2025, and the largest producing companies globally and in India.

World Mining Data gives 141,231 t in 2024, after a dip to about 92,000 t in 2021 and 2022. China supplied 32.7%, Tajikistan 19.5%, Myanmar 18.6% and Russia 17.5%. An HHI of 2,129 means moderate concentration, lower than for most minor metals. USGS estimates are lower, at 119,000 t for 2024 and 110,000 t for 2025, with China and Russia at 40,000 t each in 2024. Processing is more concentrated than mining. China draws in concentrate and supplied 66% of US oxide imports in 2021–24.

#### Largest producers by company, India

India has no antimony mine output (USGS) but runs a two-way trade in metal and oxide: in 2024 it imported 1,855 t gross worth $29.8 million and exported 1,244 t worth $22.8 million (Comtrade, HS 8110), and supplied 22% of US unwrought antimony imports in 2021-24 (USGS). Processor names and volumes are not published. Antimony is on India's 2023 critical list.
