USGS estimates world cement output at 3.9 billion t in 2024 and 3.8 billion t in 2025. China made about 1.7 billion t, roughly 45% of the total, and India 470 million t. Vietnam (100 million t), Turkey (89 million t) and the US (84 million t) follow. At country level that is high concentration, but cement markets are regional, so national shares matter less than local plant counts. China's output is falling with its property slump. India and Egypt are growing. US production slipped as closed or idle plants and imports constrained the domestic industry.
