FAOSTAT puts 2023 lint output at 24.7 million tonnes, up about a third from 18.5 million in 1990 but only slightly above the 23.8 million of 2010. China grew 22.7%, India 22.4%, Brazil 11.8% and the United States 10.6%. The HHI of 1,378 is unconcentrated. The big recent shift is Brazil's rise as an exporter alongside the United States.
