# Kyanite: Production

USGS cannot sum a world total because countries report different minerals on different bases. In 2025 the largest were South Africa (andalusite, 120,000 t) and the United States (kyanite, 80,000 t). France (andalusite, 60,000 t), China (andalusite crude ore, 50,000 t) and Peru (andalusite, 40,000 t) followed. India reported 2,500 t of kyanite and sillimanite. Supply is held by a handful of countries and firms. South African andalusite has been hit by power cuts, flooding, labour disputes and shipping problems, and global andalusite supply stayed tight in 2025.

No global production series is published for this commodity in the datasets used.
