FAOSTAT records 14.83 million tonnes of natural rubber in 2024, nearly triple the 5.23 million tonnes of 1990. Thailand produced 32.3%, Indonesia 15.3%, Côte d'Ivoire 11.4% and Vietnam 9.0%. The HHI of 1,597 indicates moderate concentration. Côte d'Ivoire's place in third is the striking change of recent years, while Malaysian output has shrunk as estates moved to oil palm. Growth has slowed: output was 14.24 million tonnes in 2020.
