Epoxy resins: Production

Why half the world's epoxy plants sit idle

Why half the world's epoxy plants sit idle What this tab covers Who makes it and how much: world capacity and output, utilisation, the top producing countries and companies globally and in India, concentration, new capacity coming, and each region's position.

India has two main producers, Aditya Birla and Atul, and still imports enough for DGTR to impose five-year duties of $37-483/t on liquid epoxy from China, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and Thailand in November 2025 (Indian Chemical News). India has no BPA plant, so all BPA is imported (BPA tile). National demand is not published in sources reached.
