CNG, LPG and biogas distribution: Value chain

From Aramco's price list to the cylinder at your door

From Aramco's price list to the cylinder at your door What this tab covers Who does what, from equipment makers to builders, owners, operators, traders and users, with the leading companies at each step.

Gas processors and refiners make LPG; terminals and shipowners move it; bottlers and distributors fill and deliver cylinders. CNG and biomethane go through city gas companies and grid operators.

The US produced about 110 Mt of LPG in 2024, about twice the Middle East's 52.5 Mt, but Gulf cargoes dominate Asian supply. India consumed 33.15 Mt in 2025, mostly for cooking; Indian Oil says its Indane brand serves nearly 180 million kitchens and that it is the world's second-largest LPG marketer. Among city gas companies, Indraprastha Gas and Gujarat Gas run the most CNG stations (calculated by summing PNGRB returns).
