What this tab covers How it flows between countries: the largest bilateral trade routes drawn on a world map, 2024 UN Comtrade export and import values with the top exporters and importers by share, plus shipping routes, chokepoints and trade restrictions.Ferrovanadium (HS 7202.92) is a small trade, about $0.5-0.6 billion (Comtrade). In 2023, China supplied 27.8% of export value and South Africa 24.3%, followed by South Korea and Canada. In 2024 the top importers were the United States with 14.1%, Germany 11.4% and Japan 7.9%. Much vanadium also moves as pentoxide, which the US buys mainly from Brazil and South Africa. Tariffs now shape this trade. In August 2025 the US raised duties on many Brazilian goods to 50%, including high-purity vanadium but not ferrovanadium.
