How chicken more than tripled to overtake pork

Output rose in every decade, reaching 118.9 million in 2020. The United States (15.7%), China (12.0%) and Brazil (10.7%) lead, followed by Russia, India and Indonesia. An HHI of 610 shows unconcentrated production by country. By company, the industry is concentrated, because integrators control breeding, feed and processing. On these figures, chicken alone now outweighs pig meat.
